Motorsport is one of the building blocks behind ANZPAC Oils, and they are always on the lookout for opportunities to get involved. Managing director of ANZPAC, Brent Esler, co-drove with experienced racer Andy Neale in the recent 2011 ESKO South Island Endurance series, so it seemed only natural to team up with the other interest in Andy’s life, V8 Superdrive.
V8 Superdrive operates a driver training school, and offers the public the chance to drive, or be driven, in fully set up V8 race cars. They operate both Ford and Holden to make sure all the punters are happy, and all a person needs to take the wheel is a driver’s licence.
Andy is the owner of V8 Superdrive, and is regarded as one of the best race coaches in the country. With 20 years track experience under his belt, and a racing history in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom, his expertise is sought after.
Because of Andy’s reputation, and the company’s success, ANZPAC Oils have united with V8 Superdrive and are now sponsoring fuel and oil. CRT Co-operative, ANZPAC’s parent company, has a fuel division, and with the distribution rights to Gulf lubricants, it was an easy decision for ANZPAC to support the popular motorsport company and promote the Gulf brand to its customer base.
Since the alignment, ANZPAC Oils has offered promotional deals on Gulf products within CRT Farmcentres, offering co-operative shareholders the chance to win hot laps in the Gulf BMW M3 E36 GTR. The last group lot of winners were thrilled with the experience, as was Andy. “It gives me a big smile to see peoples’ faces after they’ve experienced the high speed thrill of a thoroughbred race car like the Gulf BMW. The grip, handling and speed leaves people in awe of the experience,” he said.
